脑锻炼与使用对老年人认知的影响

In this talk, Dr. Kennison presents the  results of a clinical trial conducted on the efficacy of the Brain Fitness  Program, which included six computer-based exercises intended to improve  cognition. The sample included 437 healthy adults ages 65+ (M = 74.9) randomly  assigned to either an intervention or an active control condition. The  intervention group received 40 hours of training distributed over 8 weeks. The  active control group received a similar level of engagement. The primary outcome  measures, which were administered prior to training and twice following training  included multiple tests of memory and attention. The original results  demonstrated near transfer for auditory memory tests and several of these  benefits lasted up to three months. A new set of results that utilized bivariate  latent difference score models demonstrated similar but more limited results.  The results are synthesized and their implications for our aging population are  discussed.
