报告题目:EEG Imaging of Toddlers  During “Live” Dyadic Turn-Taking: Mu-Rhythm Modulation And Source-Clusters In  Natural Action Observation and Execution

内容简介:Cortical ‘mirror neurons’ are assumed  to be the neural basis of action perception and understanding. The neural  facility for representing, interpreting, and planning action has been studied  for years in relatively non-social contexts; however, several recent efforts  have assessed EEG during real-time, ongoing social interactions. In the first  study to precisely measure dyadic action and electrophysiology, we recorded  synchronized EEG from mothers and toddlers while motion-capturing their hand and  head movements. Twenty-two typical toddlers and mothers played a turn-taking  bubble popping game on a capacitive touch screen table, which invited action  matching and switching. EEG data was collected from two 64-channel caps (Ag/AgCl  active electrodes @ 256 Hz); optical motion-capture rigid bodies captured head  and wrist positions. In this talk, I will show you some behavioral results of  the dyadic contingency as well as some EEG results. Specifically, I will focus  on the Mu Rhythm.
