讲座题目：Modeling the  Development of Writing

内容摘要：Results from three  recent studies of writing will be presented. The first study tested alternative  models of the underlying dimensions of writing using English writing samples  provided by first- and fourth-grade students in the US. The second study  examined the generalizability of the model to Chinese writing samples provided  by fourth- and seventh-grade students in China. The results of both studies  supported a five-factor model of written expression. The third study tested  alternative models of the co-development of reading and writing using data from  the Florida Longitudinal Study. The results of latent change-score modeling were  that relations between developing reading and writing varied depending on the  level of language examined.
